The Great Lakes Independent Eye Care doctors, solely located in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, are now offering new options for your vision care needs.
Whether you are an individual, a family, a small or large business owner, a benefits coordinator or the Chief Executive Officer of a company with nation wide employees; we can provide you with flexible vision care plans.  Our local independent eye care providers are situated across the Upper Peninsula.  And where the need to render care outside our Peninsula is necessary, we are affiliated with other independent eye care provider groups through a National Coalition.  This allows us the ability to provide vision care plans not only to the individual, employees, or local employers but also to the multi-state or nation wide employer.

These vision care plans allow patients to access doctors who provide comprehensive care, high quality optical products in locally owned, independent professional eye care practices.

We provide for their members the following benefits:

	Vision Care Direct (VCD) is a specially designed vision benefit plan with a variable menu of options for employer groups and individuals. The many options offered affords the employer and employee an opportunity to choose one plan that makes the most comfortable fit for their situation. The flexibility and cost effectiveness of these plans benefit both the patients and the member doctors.
	Strategic Vendor Program is another benefit to the IPA and the individual doctor practice. This is a program set up by the coalition that utilizes our large network of providers. The program will help the independent practitioner receive some of the best discounts on products used in their office. These vendors also share the vision of the coalition in improving the practices of independent Optometry and the delivery of health care to their patients.
